The Challenge Award recognizes schools that are making outstanding achievement and uncommon accomplishments based on Kansas reading and math assessment results despite facing significant challenges in the school population. There has been some fun stuff going on in our classrooms! Here Mrs. Ballard's 5th and 6th graders are helping Ms. St.John's preschool and kindergartners make a Q-tip skeleton after reading the book, Dem Bones. For a short while after our Monday morning assemblies these two classes spend time together reading various books and doing crafts.
